Researchers from New Zealand and Michigan State University (MSU) have found that living within view of water -- which was referred to as "blue space" -- has a real, quantifiable benefit to mental health.
Pleasant Hill Lake & Dam will be celebrating its 80th year (1938-2018). The dam was officially completed on January 28, 1938, and an opening of recreational facilities with Boat Concession spring of 1950, Bathing Beach, Bathhouse & Picnic areas on July 22, 1950, Campground (1963), Cabins and Boat launch. The park has begun a five-year, multi-phase master plan for upgrades, new camping, and cabin facilities in 2017.
